It seems like SS Rajamouli's magnum opus has started some sort of a trend in dubbing films
When SS Rajamouli's Telugu magnum opus, Baahubali, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah and Anushka Shetty, was announced to be dubbed in Hindi by Karan Johar, not many thought that it will break all records at box office.
Infact, Baahubali: The Beginning is the first Hindi dubbed film to rake over Rs 100 crore at box office. Taking a cue from Baahubali's success, Anushka Shetty-Allu Arjun's Rudhramadevi is all set to be dubbed in Hindi. The historic period drama will be dubbed in Hindi by Abhishek Pictures & Reliance. This dubbed flick will be hitting the screens of September 17.
Interestingly, even Vijay's Tamil flick Puli, is also being dubbed and released in Hindi. It seems like Baahubali has started a new trend in dubbing movies and we can expect more and more South films to be dubbed and released Hindi. Another point to be noted that Puli and Rudhramadevi are in the same genre of Baahubali. This makes me wonder if makers of Rudhramadevi and Puli want to cash in on the success of Baahubali by dubbing in Hindi.
While Baahubali was a dubbed film in Hindi, but one cannot ignore the fact they were very well promoted thanks to Dharma Productions. With no promotions whatsoever, will Anushka's Rudhramadevi and Vijay's Puli manage to replicate Baahubali's success in Hindi? I don't think so!
