The actress faced racism when she attended high school in Massachusetts
Priyanka Chopra has definitely come a long way. The actress who featured on 14 international magazine covers was bullied as a kid while she was studying in high school in Massachusetts. She recalled her experiences when she was called a browny that smelled like curry. As a child, Priyanka could do nothing to shut them up but today after so many years, she has successfully managed to shut them up not with words but with her actions. Well, PeeCee just proved that actions definitely speak louder than words.
Priyanka who made her Hollywod TV debut last September with Quantico soon became the talk of the town there courtesy her role as Alex Parish. Post this, she signed her first Hollywood movie Baywatch in which she plays the antagonist. The real success for her was not signing the movie but the fact that the role which was initially written for a male character and was later revised for her.
Speaking to a leading daily, Priyanka Chopra said, “The kind of acceptance that she has received in the US, not just by media but also my colleagues, the film industry, the audiences and the people that I meet on the streets is amazing . I feel accepted here.”
Priyanka is among the few Indian celebs who have made it big in Hollywood and looking at her rising popularity we can just admire this desi gal and thank her for representing India beautifully on an international level.
