Reports were doing the rounds that the fourth edition of the successful franchise would be inspired by the Tamil hit...
We were the first one's to reveal to you that Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty were reuniting for Golmaal 4. There was a lot of talk over many years that the film would take off soon, however nothing was confirmed. But last year and even at the beginning of this year, Ajay and Rohit told us that they are working on the script of the film. Today morning a leading daily revealed that Golmaal 4 would be a remake of the 2013 Tamil black comedy Soodhu Kavvum (Evil Engulfs).
Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy and featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Sanchita Shetty, Soodhu Kavvum was very famous down south. However the source told the leading daily that Rohit would be adding his inputs to the film. However, all these reports are not true. The film's publicists while denying these reports, revealed to us, " Rohit Shetty’s next - Golmaal 4is not the remake of the Tamil hit Soodhu Kavvum which released in 2013. As the official publicist of the film, we would like to state that the news (being circulated) is completely untrue and baseless."
While sources also suggested that the film would take off from October, however nothing is sure till now. Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has played very important parts in all the three films of the franchise till now, might not be available if it takes off in October. As you all know, Kareena is expecting her first child this December. So she might not be available till late next year. If the makers wait for her or replace her, is the makers call and we don't know what they have planned now. However we do hear that Kunal Khemu, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor will be a part of Golmaal 4.
We hope that all the confusion is sorted soon. Till then check out how Kareena took Rohit for an auto ride in the video right here:
