Ajay Devgn collaborates with Neeraj Pandey to play 'Chanakya'

The film will be based on Chanakya's life and teachings

The Singham of Bollywood - Ajay Devgn is all set to portray the character of one of the greatest thinkers in the Indian history, Chanakya in Neeraj Pandey's next. The film will be based on his life and teachings, who is widely considered one of the greatest political thinkers and economist of the country. Chanakya will be directed by Neeraj Pandey, who previously helmed films like Aiyaary, Baby, Special 26 and A Wednesday. Since it's the first collaboration between Neeraj and Ajay, we can't hide our excitement for Chanakya. The film will be produced under the banners of Reliance Entertainment and Friday Filmworks’ Plan C Studios. Since Ajay is currently busy with many projects, it'll be interesting to see how removes time for Chanakya from his hectic schedule.

On the professional front, Ajay Devgn will be seen in an untitled urban rom-com. The film marks the directorial debut of known editor Akiv Ali and is bankrolled by Luv Ranjan (Director of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Pyaar Ka Punchnama series) under his banner Luv Films along with T-Series. It will talk about the modern day relationship in a quirky way and also stars Rakulpreet Singh and Tabu in pivotal roles. It is extensively shot in Himachal Pradesh and London and is expected to release in October during the Dussehra weekend. Post this film, Ajay will be seen in Total Dhamaal, which features the ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Jaaved Jafferi.
