Ajay Devgn reveals that he wanted a solo release!
Ajay Devgn is currently at Indore promoting his magnum opus Shivaay with Sayesha Saigal and Erika Kaar. On being asked about the clash with Karan Johar's multi starrer film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Ajay exclusively told BollywoodLife that he would have prefered a solo release but now that he couldn't get one he is fine with it. He said "Clash doesn't matter.. Though I wished solo release but anyway.. I am more concerned in what I am doing."
On the question, that where did he get the idea of making this film, he said that he had got tired of the mediocrity in the films and wanted to try something new. He said "I don't want to call it masterpiece.. I am bored of mediocre films so someone has to raise the bars.. For this film I haven't taken any films since past two years coz this needed such amount of passion.. If you have to do such films you have to sacrifice."
We were also expecting to see Kajol at the event as news had surfaced a few months that she is taking care of the promotions of Shivaay. But, she could nowhere be seen. Also, we were quite surprised by Ajay's choice of location for promoting the film. While the actual reason is not yet know, we are sure the Ajay has a strong reason for this one too.
Ajay has donnes the hat of both director and actor for the film. And obviously he doesn't want to make any mistakes with this one. Although he has directed U Me Aur Hum in the past, Shivaay is different. It is his dream project which is also touted to be Bollywood's most expensive film. No wonders he doesn't want to take any chance with this one. Now that his film is clashing with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Ajay has began promoting the film well ahead of its release.
The film has been shot in scenic locales of Balkan mountains of Bulgaria, Hyderabad and Uttarakhand. It is slated to release on October 28.
