The actor has signed the sequel and replaced Arshad Warsi
Akshay Kumar has been signed for the sequel of 2013 courtroom drama flick Jolly LLB. With this move, Akshay has replaced Arshad Warsi who was earlier a part of Jolly LLB. The movie in 2013 was a sleeper hit where Arshad was seen playing a lawyer who takes up the case for hit and run victims. However he is challenged by proficient lawyer, played by Boman Irani who is hired by the defendant.
In the sequel too, Akshay shall play a lawyer. After Arshad heard about Akshay replacing him, the Munnabhai actor had stated that, he always wanted to be a part of Jolly LLB 2 but choosing Akshay seemed valid as the makers wanted a bigger name this time.

To the statement made by Arshad, Akshay while talking to a leading daily said, “I don’t have anything to say (on Arshad’s comment). Talk to producer. It is the call (decision) of producer. Like I did ‘Welcome’ and not ‘Welcome Back’ but I did not feel bad. It was my franchise so should I feel bad? Even ‘Hera Pheri’ (3rd installment)…now somebody else is doing,”
