Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB 2 is going great guns at the box office. The fact that it released solo and had Valentine's Day in between to give it a grand push have worked massively for the film. On V-day, it earned over Rs. 9 crore which boosted its collection a lot. And now after 6 days it has managed to earn Rs. 72.68 crore. By doing so, it has gone past the first week collections of Holiday A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (Rs. 67.46 crore), Baby (Rs. 63.82 crore) and Brothers (Rs. 72. 60 crore).
Holiday was a film that many including Akshay Kumar might be proud of. A remake of Tamil film Thupakki, it showed how an Army jawan never stops his duty for his country even when he is on leave. The actor was simply perfect for the role. No wonder it became one of his Rs. 100 crore films. Baby too was about going the distance for the country. A secret mission which made all of us cheer it so much. As for Brothers, Akshay was seen in a completely different terrain here. There was drama, pain, wrestling and bonding of brothers, a kind of film the actor hasn't worked on for a long time now.
Now Jolly LLB 2 has to earn a bit more to go past the first week collections of Singh Is Bliing which had earned Rs. 77.6 crore in those many days. With the way it is going, it doesn't look difficult for Akshay's film. If it manages to do so, Jolly LLB 2 will become one of his top five highest first-week grossers ever. According to reports, Jolly LLB 2 has crossed Rs 115 crores at the worldwide box office as of February 14, 2017. The film is expected to enter the coveted Rs. 100 crore club in the second weekend in the domestic market as well. We are totally rooting for that. What about you?
