Wait, why is Alia Bhatt making such a statement now? I mean, isn't she the same Alia who had gone on records praising Shah Rukh Khan, his ever-giving attitude and how she can't thank her stars enough for have gotten a chance to work with SRK in Dear Zindagi? Then why this sudden feeling about Shah Rukh not supporting her with the film? Well, we're sure you might have drawn all sorts of perceptions about Alia by merely reading our headline but that ain't the whole story for Alia gives a reasoning why she doesn't feel Shah Rukh is supporting her with Dear Zindagi. It so happened that during her recent media interaction, Alia was asked if she thinks there's a new trend setting in with actors supporting actresses in films like how Shah Rukh is supporting her in Dear Zindagi and she retorted, "I don't really think he's supporting me. When you see the film, you will get to know who's supporting whom. But if philosophically then I'll tell you yes he is supporting me coz in the film I have a lot of issues and he has all the answers. So ya, he's a very big support system to me."
Now although Alia's just being quite straightforward or probably she didn't even mean it when she said that. But let's just say had it not been Shah Rukh in the promos of Dear Zindagi that's winning the internet one video at a time, we wouldn't have been this hooked to the film. No literally! We don't think there's anybody who can light up the screen like how Shah Rukh does it and guess that's a huge contribution to any film; even if he's just playing a cameo....
However, with that aside, Alia did thank Shah Rukh for always inspiring her in many different ways. In fact, as soon as a reporter asked her what does she feel about Shah Rukh's compliment to her when he said, "Too good too soon", she added, "Of course, I heard the compliment. We have spoken about it many a times. Unhone pehli baar show par bola tha, but mujhe pehle bhi bola hai and I was very overwhelmed when he said something like that too me because yeah, he is Shah Rukh Khan, but he is also someone who I have loved and admired all my life as an actor, performer, star, celebrity and as a person. So when he gives me a compliment like that, then yes it does mean a lot. But I also do agree with him that I need to be bad now. I also don’t want to burn out. I also don’t want to be that person who wants to do performances always. I also want to have some fun. So I am taking his advice very very seriously and I will follow his advice and be BAD!"
