Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur recently graced The Kapil Sharma Show and they had blast chatting with comedian, Kapil and his team members. The stars were on the show to promote their film, Kalank, which is due to release on April 17. After the Kalank star cast shot for the episode, reports suggested that Kiku Sharda's jokes did not go down well with Alia and she was offended by it. Kiku had asked Alia, "How does a scooter start?" and he himself answered it saying, "Bhatt, Bhatt, Bhatt, Bhatt." The comedian went on to crack another joke. He first asked the Raazi actress if her father, Mahesh Bhatt was into the construction business. When the actress answered with a 'no', he quipped, "Then why did he make movies like Footpath and Sadak?"
When Pinkvilla reached out to Kiku, he dismissed the reports saying, "This is just a rumour. She has enjoyed a lot on the show. I have no idea how this rumour started, but if you watch the episode, you will see how much she has enjoyed on the show. Alia is a very sporting person and has laughed a lot on the show." Well, that clears the air.
Coming to Alia's film, it is set in the 1940s and directed by Abhishek Varman. Kalank was initially supposed to feature Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Ajay Devgn and Rani Mukerji. Unfortunately, after Yash Johar's demise, the film was stalled. But Karan Johar decided to take charge of his late father's project which is now ready to release.
Apart from Varun, Alia, Sonakshi and Aditya, Kalank features Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit in important roles. Kiara Advani has shot for a special dance number in the film which is titled First Class and so has Kriti Sanon. The song featuring Luka Chuppi actress is yet to be out.
Besides Kalank, Alia has Karan Johar's magnum opus, Takht, Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Inshallah with Salman Khan. Long story short, she has an interesting line up of films.
