After having an unsuccessful stint at the box office, Alia is hopeful about her next
The otherwise chirpy Alia Bhatt was feeling low after her last outing Shaandaar with Shahid Kapoor became the first flop of her life. However taking that to her stride, the actress now says that it’s good that it happened and now that she knows it is not the best feeling in the world she can move on in peace.
While speaking to a leading daily about her forthcoming film with Gauri Shinde, the actress spilled beans on the film with Shah Rukh Khan. “I am very excited. Plus, I am nervous before anything — be it going on a ramp, stepping on stage or starting a film. I have been doing a lot of readings with Gauri (Shinde; director), and we get along like a house on fire because the character is just so me. I love her work, and adored English Vinglish (2012). She is a phenomenally talented director. We have a really nice connection. It’s important that the director and actor have good chemistry, and not just the actors,” she shared.
Although the film was also in news to have been shelved but Alia says it is alright for a schedule to get delayed. “I heard a few. I don’t know why they came up because a schedule can get delayed. But as Karan (Johar; film-maker) said, ‘We are on track.’ Preparations are on in full swing.”
Are you excited to see Shah Rukh and Alia weaving their magic on-screen?
