Alia Bhatt is currently shooting for father Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2, which is set to hit the screens next year. The actress recently shot for a magazine photoshoot of Vogue and in an interview with them she revealed that her father celebrated the failure of her venture Shaandaar, which had high expectations but failed miserably at the box office. Alia was heartbroken as it was her first flop after giving consecutive hits. But as per Mahesh Bhatt, “the band-aid had been ripped off.” She further added, “He was the only one who celebrated.”

The trio of Alia, Pooja and Mahesh Bhatt have come together for Sadak 2, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur in key roles. Revealing what Sadak 2 is all about, Mahesh Bhatt had earlier told MM, "Sadak 2 is about love, loss and redemption. To simplify a heartfelt narrative like this is to falsify it. You would be trivialising the essence of the film by suggesting that Sadak 2 is just this." The film is set to hit the screens on July 10, 2020.
Post that, the actress will also be featured in biggies like SS Rajamouli's RRR along with Jr NTR and Ram Charan. The film will be set in the early 1900s and will have the actors playing roles inspired by characters of the rebellious personalities Alluri Sitaramaraju and Komaram Bheem. Ram Charan will be seen playing Ramaraju while NTR will essay Bheem in the plot. So, are you excited for these ventures? Tweet to us @bollywood_life.
