Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) demanded an unconditional apology from Bollywood celebs who participated in AIB Roast
Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor are facing the heat after All India Bakchod's roast. Joining hands with Ashoke Pandit the FWICE demanded an apology from this trio and even threatened strict action against them if not obliged. However, Alia Bhatt's uncle has come out in support of AIB and against the FWICE. In a statement to a daily the head of Producers’ Guild said, "Who are they to issue such a letter? FWICE is supposed to protect the interests of cine workers, not pass moral judgments or issue threats."
The FWICE backed Censor Board member Ashoke Pandit and Dilip Pithva, the general secretary of the former said, "I had been getting calls about the show from many unhappy members of the industry for the past two days. On Tuesday night, I watched the show. On Wednesday morning, I called up Ashoke Pandit and told him I backed his view on the AIB event. The board met in the afternoon and drafter the letter. This is not the face of the industry. The show is vulgar and the film industry members who have participated in it are creating a wrong perception of the film industry."
With the two film bodies fighting over AIB looks like this controversy is taking a filmi turn.
