Alka Yagnik finds the Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai character Angoori simple and sweet, and so if given a chance, the singer would love to play her role in the show.
Yagnik will make an appearance on the show soon. “I have watched ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai’ and my family is a big fan of this show. I love all the characters but this dialogue ‘Sahi pakde hai’ has caught my attention so much so that I have become a fan of Angoori. She is very simple and sweet and soft spoken. So, if ever given a chance I would love to play her role in the show,” Yagnik said in a statement.
The episode will be aired on &TV on Saturday.
Actress Shubhangi Atre, who replaced Shilpa Shinde as Angoori on the popular TV show "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!", says she is extremely excited and equally nervous to play the widely popular character.
“I am extremely excited and equally nervous on being chosen to play such a beautiful character on television. The show has a cult following and playing the character of Angoori is quite challenging,” Shubhangi said in a statement.
After she became 'bhabi ji' of the small screen, Shilpa left the show amid some differences with Indian TV production house Edit II sending a legal notice to her when she didn't show up for shooting for the family drama and reportedly signed up for another entertainer.
Now, Shubhangi, who has previously appeared in shows like "Kasautii Zindagii Kay", "Kasturi" and "Chidiya Ghar", hopes to live up to the popularity of the character and get the same love and appreciation.
