Here's an insight into the life of this bubbly girl-next-door...
Essel Vision Productions is all set to woo audiences with it's first ever fiction show, Tashn-E-Ishq. The show, which will be aired on Zee TV from August 10, will replace Jodha Akbar and like the historic, this one too is romantic drama set in present day Amritsar, Punjab.
The track follows the love story of Twinkle aka Jasmine Bhasin and Yuvraj aka Zain Imam whose mothers have been at loggerheads for ages. Zain is already a popular face with the youth; thanks to his stint on Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, but Jasmine is a new face on TV. Perpetually curious as we are, we need to know more about the girl and so we did!
While talking to BollywoodLife, Jasmine gave us a little insight into her reel as well as real life personalities, which is not very different each other. After our little chat with her, we were sure she'll play the part well. Here's what you should know about the TV actress...
#Jasmine was born and brought up in Kota, Rajasthan and comes from an educated, yet conservative family.
#Much like her onscreen character, Jasmine is a true Punjabi at heart in real life too; bubbly and carefree. But she's a peace-loving person and does not like fights and arguments.
# Before entering the glamour industry, the actress who graduated in hospitality, worked with Taj Palace, Delhi and that's where she was offered her first modeling assignment.
#A production house had set up camp in the hotel for a few days while working on a print ad campaign for a cellphone company when the photographer asked Jasmine to get clicked and she was immediately finalised. Back then, she had just taken up the assignment for a little extra pocket money and never thought she would enter the industry.
#Though this is her first time on television, she's not new to the camera. The actress has appeared in several ads films. She has also done 8 film down South in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industries.
#Her debut film was Vaanam, where she played the lead opposite South superstar, Simbu.
#She does have a filmi connection but she wasn't aware of it until very recently. A year or so ago, she found out that 1940's actor, Sunder Shyam was her paternal grand uncle.
