On the occasion of Sreenu Vaitla's birthday, the makers of Amar Akbar Anthony have released the teaser of the film. Ravi Teja plays the main protagonist in the film while Ileana D'Cruz is the leading lady. In the film, we see Ravi Teja as a prisoner in a foreign country. It looks like the US. In another scene, we see him spying on someone and in other, he is dressed like a corporate. The shoot for the film started in April in New York. One of the highlights of the teaser is the BGM scored by Thaman. Ileana D'Cruz took to Twitter to wish the director as well. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

Ravi Teja's last film Touch Chesi Chudu fared badly at the box office. Raja The Great was a blockbuster. The actor has a lot of hopes from Amar Akbar Anthony. The film is a special one as Ravi Teja is playing a triple role for the first time. Ileana will be making a comeback in Tollywood with this film after having last appeared in Puri Jagannadh's Devudu Chesina Manushulu, coincidentally, alongside Ravi Teja.
