Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has started shooting for his upcoming film "Gulabo Sitabo", directed by Shoojit Sircar, here. "One done another begun. Travel, location change, look change, crew change, colleagues change, city change and story change. From Lucknow today 'Gulabo Sitabo' and the look? Well, what can I say," Amitabh tweeted on Tuesday. The 76-year-old has just wrapped up shooting for the thriller "Chehre", which also features Emraan Hashmi. That film is being directed by Rumi Jaffrey.
It seems Big B and Ayushmann loved the script at the first reading and adjusted dates to make time for the film. Shoojit Sircar told Mumbai Mirror, “I thought it would take some time to develop and take it forward, but everyone was so enthusiastic to work on this script, they figured out their dates and here we are, planning to release the film this year itself." It seems the film is a family entertainer with quirky comedy.
"Gulabo Sitabo", which also stars Ayushmann Khurrana, will release on April 24, 2020. Written by Sircar's frequent collaborator Juhi Chaturvedi of "Vicky Donor", "Piku" and "October" fame, "Gulabo Sitabo" is produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. This is the first time Ayushmann will be seen sharing screen with the cine icon. Shoojit Sircar is now busy filming the movie based on the life of revolutionary Udham Singh with Vicky Kaushal. Ayushmann Khurrana is busy with Bala directed by Amar Kaushik. Stay tuned to BollywoodLife for more scoops and updates!
