The whole hullabaloo over Amitabh Bachchan's role at the BJP event to be held on 28th May finally receives a quote from the actor! Read on...
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan sure is being questioned a lot, ever since his name got linked to Panama Papers. The opposition government, constantly with a view to further scrutinize BJP found it's new scapegoat in Amitabh. But he found his way out, like always! Turns out on Tuesday, Congress questioned the government's decision to invite the Te3n actor to host a show at India Gate on 28th May to highlight BJP government's accolades in the last two years. One of the spokesperson of Congress, Randeep Surjewala even quoted, "We don't have any objection either to Amitabh Bachchan or Prime Minister Narendra Modi because we respect Bachchan as an actor and Modi as the prime minister but what signal will it send to the agencies investigating the Panama Papers leaks."
However, the actor today clarified that he won't be hosting the event but merely speaking on a particular segment. Amitabh, in a chat with one of the leading news channels, quoted that he is not going to host the event but will be doing a small segment on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana. The event will officially be hosted by actor R Madhavan. The event at India Gate is likely to comprise talk shows on the government's achievements, interspersed with cultural programmes. Looks like another move of the Congress party has faltered in the eyes of public. After having clarified what role he will be playing, a trend #GandhisVsBigB started on Twitter.
