The actor thanked fans on his page with kind words...
Amitabh Bachchan is not called Shehenshah of Bollywood for nothing. His following is spread over generations of fans. He is still one of Bollywood's most beloved hero. His number of followers on Facebook are a proof. The Wazir actor's Facebook page just crossed 24 million likes, which is more number of likes than what Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan have on their respective social media platform.
Shah Rukh Khan has close to 20 million followers, while Aamir Khan only has 15 million. Akshay Kumar has over 20 million followers but still nothing compared to Big B's following.
Amitabh Bachchan took to Facebook to thank his fans for showering so much love on him, and making him one of the most liked Indian celebs on Facebook. He wrote "FB 1447 - AND the BIG news .. !! 24 million followers on FaceBook ... thank you all for this .. such a long and trusted journey .. may we continue in this vein even further .. Anek anek dhanyavaad .. 24 million ho gaye FB pe .. ye aap sab ka pyaar aur aashirwaad hai jo mujhe yahan tak le aaya ." Well thank YOU Mr Bachchan for keeping us fans close to you through your cherishable posts. We hope you get more likes along time. Maybe one day, you'll be the most liked celeb EVER on Facebook.
Big B joined Facebook on August 21, 2012. Just a few days before the 4th anniversary he has hit this unimaginable mark on the social networking site. The actor when he joined FB had said "Facebook needs no introduction and I feel that my official Facebook fan page was long overdue. Facebook is a powerful tool that helps bring people together and allows us to embrace being a part of a larger community. I have been encouraged by the overwhelming reception to my tumblr blog, and this is another avenue to reach out to my fans, not only in India, but globally"
