Amitabh Bachchan to make his Marathi debut in Vikram Gokhale starrer AB Aani CD - read details

The Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan had made a cameo appearance 25 years back in a Marathi film titled Akka and now the megastar is all set make his full-fledged debut in the Marathi industry with the upcoming film titled AB Aani CD. In the film, Big B will play himself and will be directed by Milind Lele. Talking about the film, the director told TOI, “AB stands for Amitabh Bachchan and CD is Chandrakant Deshpande (being essayed by
Gokhale). The two actors play school friends in the film which talks about how Gokhale’s life changes after people around him learn that Amitabh Bachchan is his childhood friend. He further added, Since Amitabh Bachchan plays himself in the film, most of his lines will be in Hindi. However, he will have some Marathi dialogues as well. He plays the role of the childhood friend of the protagonist of
the film, essayed by another veteran, Vikram Gokhale". Well, everyone knows the iconic scene between Amitabh Bachchan and Vikram Gokhale in Agneepath and we hope the director manages to create some memorable moments in AB Aani CD as well.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in Nagraj Manjule's Jhund. The actor is essaying the role of Vijay Barse, a Nagpur-based retired sports teacher who starts a slum soccer movement. The film is co-produced by Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath, Manjule alongside Tandav Films Entertainment and Aatpaat Production.
