The most popular game show on Indian television will be back on the small screen, but this time with fewer episodes
The seventh season of the TV quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, to be hosted once more by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, is slated to go on the air around August end-early September. However, we hear this season will feature only 36 episodes - the earlier seasons aired 52 episodes. Apparently Big B’s hectic schedule is the reason for this cut, along with a few alterations in the basic format of the show. Besides KBC, Bachchan sa'ab has Anurag Kashyap’s fictional TV serial that will go on air at the end of the year, as well as a few films in the pipeline.
Reportedly, Amitabh’s health is another concern, causing changes in the show format. However, when producer Siddhartha Basu was quizzed about this, he refused to comment and maintained, "Wait for the announcement. There's a lot that's happening. At the moment, I don't want to comment."
Well, even with all the presumably significant changes in the show, wethinks Big B’s magic will continue to cast a spell on TV viewers - and you? Will you watch KBC in the new season?
