The actress is really unhappy that she had to leave...
After Hrs reported that Amy Jackson has a special role in Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Half Girlfriend. She was playing the character of Samantha Myers, from the Bill Gates Foundation, who comes to India to fund schools in villages and one of them being the school run by Arjun’s mom (Seema Biswas) in the film. But that isn’t happening anymore.
Amy tells us, "I was really looking forward to doing Half Girlfriend. But I had to opt out of the film. I am not doing it anymore."She explains it was just a special appearance, but a really lovely role. Ask her why she had to opt out and she reasons, "I have already given my dates to this British film which I start shooting from September. So I could not do Half Girlfriend."
Amy, who will be next seen in Sohail Khan’s Freaky Ali, opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui also tells us that she’s unhappy that she missed out on a role like this. "I always wanted to work with Arjun. I think he is a fabulous actor and among all the actors from the new generation, I like him a lot. But I’m hoping I get to work with him in the near future," adds the actress.
In the meantime, the shoot for Half Girlfriend will resume shortly. The first schedule in Delhi was completed a few weeks back and they will now head to New York for the second schedule. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film is based on Chetan Bhagat's best selling book of the same name. The film is slate to release on May 19, 2017 and will clash with Priyanka Chopra's Baywatch!
