Yesterday team of Mirzya launched the music of the film, and being witness to the live performances by fantastic Daler Mehndi, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy & Siddharth Mahadevan. The music of the film is simply the best of the year. To support the film and the young stars Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher their respective families were present.
Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor made the entry together and accompanying them were their mother and Sanjay's wife Maheep Kapoor. Anil Kapoor was looking dashing and as young as ever. Sanjay Kapoor too was at his best. They were joined by Mohit Marwah and Rhea Kapoor. Boney Kapoor and Sridevi made their entry together and it was interesting to see Anil Kapoor and Sridevi together after so many years. However, the star entry was made by Sonam Kapoor, she looked breathtakingly gorgeous in the white gown. Saiyami's aunt Tanvi Azmi and Javed Akhtar were present to support her too.
The presence of almost all the Kapoor clan made the event a grand affair. Barring Arjun Kapoor everyone was present as he is in NYC. Also it was good to see how excited Anil Kapoor was. He was greeting all the guests and even went on to meet Javed Akhtar and sat on the floor for a photo-op with him.
A visibly emotional Anil Kapoor took to stage and appealed everyone to give his son the love the way he has received in the last 35 years. He also asked them to not expect Anil Kapoor from his son as they both are two very different individuals.
When Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra was asked why he made the movie on the legend of Mirza-Sahiban. He revealed, he had this question in his mind since he saw a play on Mirza Sahiban that what was the reason behind Sahiban breaking Mirza's arrows. He called Gulzar and asked him the same question who told him to find his own Sahiban and ask her the same question. That's the reason he made the movie, to find that answer.
Overall it was a super successful music launch.
