Anupam Kher TURNS DOWN Pakistan's offer to process his visa!

Yesterday, we reported how Pakistan refused to process actor Anupam Kher's visa. The right wing actor who was supposed to attend the Karachi Literature Festival, made is disapoointment with the Pakistan government very clear on the social media. After which a daily reported that the Pak government denied having received the actor's application in the first place.

Now after a day's controversy over this issue, a leading news website reported that the government has offered the actor to re-process his visa. Khar has refused this offer. According to a news channel, the Pak High Commissioner Abdul Basit spoke to Kher and asked him to submit papers to process his passport and visa. The Karachi event is scheduled from February 5 to February 7 and the actor was supposed to attend it. Unfortunately, in the light of this controversy, the actor has given away those dates and will not be able to make it.

He took to Twitter to write, "Thank you Mr. @abasitpak1 for your call & offering me visa to visit Karachi. I appreciate it. Unfortunately i've given away those dates now."

Though Pak government there is no problem between them and the actor, there is a possibility that they might have issues with his political views on intolerance or his identity as a Hindu Kashmiri Pandit.
