Anurag Kashyap all set to revamp Bhojpuri films

After Bombay Velvet, apparently Anurag's next film will be in Bhojpuri

Anurag Kashyap, who is currently busy shooting his upcoming film titled Bombay Velvet starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, plans to make a Bhojpuri film. Yes, you heard us right! Also Read - Jawan actress Priyamani shares update on The Family Man 3 and it'll leave fans EXCITED

The filmmaker who has changed the face of Bollywood by making films like Dev D, Gulaal, Gangs of Wasseypur and so on, has apparently roped in Manoj Bajpayee for his Bhojpuri film. "He plans to start a Bhojpuri film after the release of Bombay Velvet and has already contacted Manoj Bajpayee to play the central role since the actor who comes from Bihar is familiar with the language. The script is being written with him in mind and will be set in UP, Anurag's home territory.", a source was quoted by a leading daily. It's good that the filmmaker is in the experimentation mode, but will Anurag's Bhojpuri film get a wide release considering it's very niche.
