Two things followed after the trailer of Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga was released. (a) appreciation for a novel approach to Make In India initiative, woven together in a journey from unemployment to self-employment. (b) Viral memes of a crying Anushka who was subsequently placed in various mundane activities of life, starting from classrooms to even local train commute. However, the latter took over the former in a way no one saw coming. And thanks to the internet, it was all one talk about. So much so that, even co-star Varun couldn't stop from sharing one and calling Anushka "Memes ki rani." But while that cracked him, we were wondering if it tickled her bones too. Well, no need for guessing anymore because the actress has finally reacted to the phenomenon. She told Mid-Day, "I thought the memes were hilarious. I kept sharing them with Varun, Sharat (Katariya) and my friends." She even considers it a compliment as it only goes to show that her character from the film has left an impression on the viewers. “It is a compliment that my character has been stuck in people's head after they watched the trailer. Mamta has become a figure that everyone identifies with. Memes have become a common feature today. People actually dedicate time to make them. But in our case, it happened naturally and that too, on a huge scale," she added. Now, that's how you take things sportingly!
