Like its predecessor, the second part promises to be high on comic element but seems to lack on horror content
Trisha is on a roll here. While people are praising the trailer of her new flick Thoongaavanam to no end, Trisha has two interesting horror comedies lined up next.
After Kamal Haasan's Thoongavanam, Trisha would be seen in Aranmani 2 and Nayaki. Directed by Sundar C, Aranmanai 2 is the sequel of las year's hit flick Aranmanai. The film stars Trisha, Siddharth, Soori and its predecessor's heroine Hansika. The motion poster of Aranmanai 2 is out and this is what I thought of it:
In India, horror comedies are usually comedies with a slight touch of occult in it. And Aranmanai series seems no different. The motion poster opens up with a shabbily created CGI haunted palace and as the camera pans out we get to see the back of two mogra adorned ladies ( seems like Trisha). While the effects used to create a feeling of eeriness falls flat, the background score and the singer's voice manage to raise your hair a bit. But other than that, there is nothing remotely scary or interesting about this motion poster. It seem like Aranmani 2 will be more of a comedy drama and less of a horror film.
