Arbaaz and Malaika Arora Khan have one of the most enduring marriages in B-Town. They met when Malaika was just 18 for the MR coffee ad, dated for five years and finally got hitched. Malaika has been a bombshell throughout her life. From a sexy model to a successful VJ, a sizzling ‘item girl’ and reality show judge, the lady has struck gold in whatever she’s done. This is in far contrast to hubby Arbaaz, who found real success only after he turned producer with Dabangg in 2010. However, Malaika’s success was never a sore point in their relationship and their relationship grew stronger with time.
Rumours of irreconcilable differences between the couple cropped up in December 2015 and by February 2016; there were talks of an impending divorce. Reports of how Malaika had left their home to live separately with son Arhaan did the rounds as well. Some even hinted at an affair with an UK-based entrepreneur. However, the couple put an end to all this gossip by going out for a family dinner last night. The get-together was widely covered by the media and that’s what making people wonder – was the breakup all a publicity rumour? The timing certainly hints so with the two ‘patching up’ just after the end of Power Couple.
The couple have a history of doing so. In 2008, rumour mills were abuzz with how the two were separating as Arbaaz had fallen for someone else. They were squashed at the launch of a beauty product with the theme of ‘remarriage’. The couple were criticized for using the media for a brand campaign but they laughed it off.
If this was indeed a publicity stunt then surely this couple does not believe in the phrase ‘Once bitten twice shy’.
