Aamir Khan was conferred with the title of Mr Perfectionist, not without a reason. Indeed the Dangal actor's choice of films during his career spanning three decades has been anything but brilliant. Be it ACP Ajay Rathod from Sarfarosh, Bhuvan from Lagaan, Rancho from 3 Idiots, PK from PK or even DJ Singh from the cult movie Rang De Basanti, the 54-year-old actor has immortalised every character he has played till date. Recently, actor Arjun Mathur shared a throwback picture of Daljit 'DJ' Singh or Chandrashekhar Azad aka Aamir Khan from the movie, Rang De Basanti, and guess what, not only us but even Aamir was pleasantly surprised with this throwback photo.
Arjun Mathur, who was seen in The Accidental Prime Minister and is also known for the web series Made in Heaven, was an Assistant Director back then. He shared the picture with a caption, expressing his gratitude and honour to have worked with Aamir. Taking to his Instagram handle, Arjun wrote, ''Major #throwback - the year 2005. Standing-in on mark for the ‘present day D.J.’ next to #ChandrashekharAzad for one of the past/present #VFX transition shots required for the #climax in #RangDeBasanti. #RDB was my fourth and last film as an #AssistantDirector (and the end of utility jackets for me). What an honour to have been a part of this #rebellion, this #movement. Yes, it was much more than a film. And what a grand privilege to have gotten to observe the genius and work-ethic of @_aamirkhan on not one, but two entire feature-films, even before I had started acting professionally. There’s just so much I’ve gotten to imbibe from this man.. and in case you can’t tell from my longing gaze, I’m forever #grateful for it. #Memories #MovieMagic #Journey#PartOfThePlan #AamirKhan.''

We are sure that this must be an extremely emotional moment for all RDB fans out there as the memories attached to this film will just flood back with the sight of this click. Aamir Khan too expressed feeling pleasantly surprised and congratulated Arjun on doing some amazing work in Made In Heaven. He reposted the picture on his social media handle with the caption, ''Hey Arjun, so wonderful to see you doing such great work. I really enjoyed Made in Heaven. Love, a.'' Here's the post shared by Aamir...
This is one of the iconic scenes from the movie where an injured Chandrashekhar Azad is sitting under a tree. He then shoots himself. Aamir, as usual, is in the skin of his character but Arjun is totally unrecognisable. With a pony-tail and a walkie-talkie, he is seen wearing the AD utility jacket. This picture surely refreshed some of the most heartwarming memories. Don't you think?
Rang De Basanti starred an ensemble cast of Aamir Khan, Siddharth Narayan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni and Alice Patten. The film was helmed by Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra was released in 2006 and has achieved the cult status ever since.
Meanwhile, Arjun Mathur essayed the role of Karan Malhotra, one of the leads in the series MIH. The series follows the story of two wedding planners in Delhi who run an agency named Made In Heaven. It portrays the face of today's India with a blend of old and new where tradition jostles with modern aspirations against the backdrop of Big Fat Indian Weddings. On the other hand, Aamir Khan is busy with his prep for Lal Singh Chaddha. The film is an official remake of Tom Hanks' Forest Grump. Aamir will undergo a major physical transformation and will lose almost 20 kgs for the same.
