Sources suggest that the makers of the much awaited sequel have failed to rope in the Hollywood star
In 2010, Director Shankar collaborated with superstar Rajnikanth to give one of the biggest blockbusters in Tamil cinema. Now in 2016, the ace director is all set to launch the second installment of Enthiran aka Robot.
While Amy Jackson is playing Rajini's heroine, the filmmaker has been trying hard to rope in Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, to play baddie in Enthiran 2. But rumours suggest that the makers have failed to strike a deal with the Terminator star. Arnold flew to India last year to be the chief guest of the music launch of Shankar's I. During his speech, Arnold even mentioned that he would love to work with director Shankar in future. In fact, Shankar had modelled Vikram's role in I on Arnold Schwarzenegger.
While fans were hoping the Terminator actor will sign the dotted line, a little birdie tells us that Mr Schwarzenegger might not be a part of Enthiran 2. A source close to the filmmaker said," The team has finally decided to rope in a Bollywood actor to play the baddie. The deal with Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't work out for various reasons. Hence, the makers decided to move on as the project was getting delayed".
It is being said that Arnold had demanded for a whopping sum of Rs 120 crore as remuneration. And since the Hollywood star wasn't ready to budge, the makers of Enthiran 2 have dropped the plan to rope in Arnie as Rajini's nemesis. Now it will be interesting to see which Bollywood actor bags the role of villain in Enthiran 2!
