Avengers: Endgame is a monstrous hit. In fact, words like staggering, monstrous and huge are falling short to describe the kind of money it has minted worldwide. The Hollywood Reporter has given a breakdown of the moolah it has made and it will surely make you gasp. The film has made $356 million in North America and grossed $866 million overseas to take the global launch figures to an awe-inspiring $1.2 billion. The film has made Rs 157.20 (nett) crores in India in its opening weekend. It has set the Chinese ticket windows ringing with $330.5 million in the opening weekend and $56 million in the UK. These figures were reported by The Hollywood Reporter. It is a huge money-spinner for Disney and Marvel Studios.

So far, the maximum made in one weekend was $314 million. Avengers: Endgame has brought great tidings for the US box office after a lull phase. The film's record of $1.2 billion from global markets has beaten that of Avengers: Infinity War that made $641 million. As we know, the Russo Brothers shot Avengers: Endgame back-to-back with Avengers: Infinity War, which took 11 days to hit the one billion dollars mark as compared to the five days taken by Avengers: Endgame.

So far, the highest grossing film is Avatar at 2.78 billion dollars and it remains to be seen if that record can be toppled. It looks like it very much possible. It has broken the first Friday record held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It made $119 million on the first Friday while Avengers: Endgame grossed $156.7 million by the first Friday. While Infinity War made $82.1 million on Saturday, Endgame raked in $109 million.
