Avengers: Infinity War is on a roll. The movie has smashed numerous box office records on day 1 in India. It has not only beaten this year's big hits like Baaghi 2 and Padmaavat but has also surpassed the opening day numbers of big films like Dangal, PK, Raees, Kick, to name a few. Well, another feather to its cap - Avengers: Infinity War has the highest opening amongst the Hollywood releases in India. The record was previously held by Furious 7, which was Paul Walker's posthumous release. The movie garnered 12.30 crore on its opening day. Avengers: Infinity War has minted Rs 31.3 crore at the box office on day 1 in India. Now that is phenomenal.
Furious 7 managed to earn nearly Rs. 81 crore (Gross) in five days in India. Given the momentum with which Avengers: Infinity War is moving forward, it is likely to beat that record too. The movie has already garnered $200 million worldwide. Next in line for AIW is the record held by The Jungle Book. Currently, that film is the highest Hollywood opening weekend grosser in India, wit3-day day collection of Rs 40.47 crore. Given the fact that AIW is already at Rs 31 crore, it is going to be a cake walk for it.
