Marvel’s latest offering, Avengers: Infinity War has managed to break many records ever since it released on Friday (April 27), which is just four days back. It has set a huge benchmark for a Hollywood film in the Indian market. After collecting Rs 31.30 crore on the first day of its release and Rs 30.50 crore on Saturday, the film showed a good jump on Sunday by earning Rs 32.50 crore. However, collections of the the film's first Monday are quite a shocker as Avengers: Infinity War saw a dip in the curve as it made Rs 20.52 crore yesterday. But the good part is that the film crossed the Rs 100 crore club as it now stands at a total of Rs 147.21 crore at the domestic box office. Today is a public holiday, especially in Maharastra owing to Labour Day, so we can expect a jump in the collections.
It's not that Avengers: Infinity War had a mammoth number of screens to them. Despite having just 2000 screens in the domestic circuit, the film has shattered many box office records of the Bollywood biggies. Made on the estimated budget of around $350 million, it is shot in England, Scotland, USA and Georgia. Avengers: Infinity War, which is the 19th Marvel Studios’ movie, brings together 22 superheroes like Iron Man, Thor and The Hulk against one super villain Thanos. Apart from English, the film is released in the dubbed versions of Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. ALSO READ: Box office round up April – Avengers: Infinity War crushes Bollywood and how!
Avengers: Infinity War is being called the best movie to come out of Marvel Cinematic Universe till date. Our critic Rajat Tripathi too was highly impressed as in his 4.5 star movie review he wrote, “This movie is a must-watch. Avengers: Infinity War gets silly when it tries to pack humour at places where you feel like crying your heart out. It gets unimaginably passionate when it brings our mighty heroes and the vicious villain face-to-face. And goes without saying that it crushes your heart by the time it ends. As I was saying in the opening…Avengers: Infinity War is passionate, silly, and heartbreaking – just like first love!” Anyway, are you guys planning to watch the movie today?
