YRF head honcho doesn't want his film Dum Laga Ke Haisha to release alongside Anushka's maiden production venture and therefore, Ayushmann starrer will come out in the theatres a week before NH10 does...
Aditya Chopra's production venture Dum Laga Ke Haisha starring Ayushmann Khurrana and newbie Bhumi Pednekar is all set to release on February 27. Though Rani Mukerji's hubby dearest was advised to release his film on March 6, the filmmaker decided not to go ahead with the Holi weekend as Anushka Sharma and Neil Bhoopalam's film NH10 is hitting the screens on that very day. Adi didn't want his film to clash with NH10 as it is Ms Sharma's first film as a producer and the former is also a very close to Anushka. In fact, it was the Dhoom:3 producer who launched Virat Kohli's ladylove and now with Dum Laga Ke Haisha Aditya is launching yet another face in Bollywood. So he didn't want both his protégés to come face to face at the BO.
Despite the distribution team's suggestion to release Ayushmann-Bhumi starrer on March 6, Chopra locked Februray 27 as the release date of his next because of emotional reasons. While talking to a leading daily, YRF spokesperson confirmed the news and said, "The distribution team strongly felt that March 6 was a better date to release our film because it is the Holi weekend but we chose a prior release date for emotional reasons. Both Anushka Sharma and now Bhumi Pednekar are launches of Aditya Chopra and we did not want both their films to clash."
