Bollywood playback singer Benny Dayal has tied the knot with model-actress girlfriend Catherine Thangam.
The 32-year-old "Badtameez Dil" hit maker's marriage has been confirmed by music director Vishal Dadlani, who shared on Twitter a photo of himself with the newly-weds from the wedding venue.
"You guys are beautiful! @benny_dayal and @cathangam , much love and joy, always!" Vishal captioned the picture.
While Benny wore a white dhoti-kurta, the bride looked beautiful in an embellished saree in a nude colour. Benny was catapulted to fame after his song "Pappu Can't Dance" from Imran Khan's "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na" became a hit. He later lent his voice for songs like "Tu Meri Dost Hai", "Kaise Mujhe", "Tarkeebein", "Daaru Desi" and "Bang Bang". He has also sung songs for Meri Brother Ki Dulhan, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Student of the year, Hasee Toh Phasee, Shuddh Desi romance, 2 states, Holiday, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.He has also sung songs for the Tamil and Telugu industry.He has won the RD Burman Award for new best talent for Ghajini's song Kaise Mujhe tum at the 54th Filmfare Awards. He has also won the Stardust Award in 2009 for New musical sensation for ( Pappu Can't dance/ Jaane tu Ya Jaane na)
Benny Dayal is a UAE born singer whose family is from Kerala. He has also made his acting debut in a malayalam film 'By the people' which was received by well. He was also part of the S5 Band during this time. In fact, this band had sung all the songs for the movie. That's where he got noticed by A.R. Rahman.
