She croons and dances passionately, mesmerising Bajirao all the while. This happens while Bajirao's wife Kashibai, essayed by Priyanka Chopra oh-so-perfectly, looks on with amusement, admiration and jealousy all at once. But, Mastani dances on for her beloved Bajirao like he is the only one watching her! And the effect is devastatingly beautiful!
We love Sanjay Leela Bhansali's opulent interiors and Deepika's look as Mastani. You will not be able to take your eyes off her for once. Her entry is marked with an introduction in Marathi which very correctly describes her as an Apsara or beautiful celestial being. This introduction is completely justified, you will agree with us. Deepika looks more victorian than Mughal , but we aren't complaining. Having said all this, the tune of this song will remind you of another SLB classic which Madhuri Dixit has immortalised : Maar Dala from Devdas!
Ranveer looks extremely believable in a garb of a powerful peshwa who is head-over-heels in love with Mastani! His intense gaze, juxtaposed with Deepika's poignant performance will make you watch this song again! Singers Shreya Ghoshal, Ganesh Chandanshive, Mujtaba Aziz Naza, Shahdab Faridi, Altmash Faridi and Farhan Sabri have done a wonderful job!
