The Big Night of Bigg Boss aired on September 16 amidst much fanfare. Salman Khan hosted the premiere night where he introduced 17 participants who got locked into the house. However, it received flak from all ends due to it's not so impressive launch. Having said that the BARC ratings are here to validate whether the show is a hit or flop. While all the eyes were on Bigg Boss’ ratings the underdog has been the grand finale of the dance reality show of Dance Deewane. While Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 3 is still ruling the charts with a monstrous number, other popular shows like Bepannaah, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein have exited not just the top 10, but the top 20 charts as well.
Top 10 shows (Urban)
Naagin 3 continues to rule the roost with humongous numbers clocking around 10 million impressions. The grand finale of Madhuri Dixit’s dance reality series Dance Deewane, has proved its victory by standing second on the charts. It has had a successful run through its entire season and with a finale of around 7 million impressions, we are quite sure of its return. The third spot is taken by the longest running daily soap Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai with 6.3 million impressions. Fourth and fifth spots have been taken by Kundali Bhagya and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma with 6 and 5.7 million impressions respectively. The launch night of Bigg Boss comes next on the sixth spot. It couldn’t enter the top 5 just for a small margin as it got 5.724 million impressions. Kumkum Bhagya dipped this week. From being a part of top 5, the daily soap has fallen to the seventh spot with 5700 million impressions. The 8th, 9th and the 10th spots are taken by Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala, Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, Kaun Banega Crorepati with 5.6, 5.467 and 5.465 million impressions.
Top 10 shows (Urban + Rural)
The pan India reach of Naagin 3 was humongous as well with 15.402 million impressions. Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya, was on the second spot with an impression of 13.387 million. The grand finale of Dance Deewane fared well on the list as well with 10.861 million impressions. Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya have occupied the 4th and the 5th spots with 10.194 and 9.598 million impressions. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has taken the 6th spot with 9.358 million impressions. Star Utsav’s Rabba Ve, comes next in line with 8.634 million impressions (MI). The next three shows to take the 8th, 9th and 10th spot respectively are Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala with 8.509 MI, Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki with 8.266 MI and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma with 7.800 MI.
Top 10 channels
Colors, Star Plus, Sony Entertainment Television, Zee TV and SAB TV are the top five channels on the urban list. Zee Annmol, Star Utsav, Sony Pal, Rishtey, and Dangal TV are the top five channels on the rural list.
