Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are riding high on the success of Bharat, which chronicles the journey of the titular character from 1960s to 2010. Recently, the lead pair met veterans, who had witnessed the 1947 partition and had also enjoyed Salman’s portrayal of the same in Bharat. Salman and Katrina met several civilians at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai and interacted with them over Bharat. Evidently, Salman enjoys a fan base with the veterans too, as he was showered with praise for the ‘train scene’ in Bharat.

After a successful weekend run at the box office, the collection of Bharat dropped massively on Monday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had shared, "Bharat dips, after a long, rich weekend... Will have to speed up on remaining weekdays [Tue to Thu] and also in Weekend 2... Now second highest grosser of 2019, after crossing lifetime biz of Kesari and Total Dhamaal in 6 days." However, on its seventh day, the collection remained stable, increasing the chances of the film becoming the highest grosser of 2019. "#Bharat is steady on Day 7... Should cross ₹ 175 cr today [Day 8]... Wed 42.30 cr, Thu 31 cr, Fri 22.20 cr, Sat 26.70 cr, Sun 27.90 cr, Mon 9.20 cr, Tue 8.30 cr. Total: ₹ 167.60 cr. India biz," shared Taran Adarsh.
Bharat is the official adaption of Korean film, Ode To My Father and is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film features Salman in five different avatars, as he ages from 18 years to 72 years. Bharat also stars Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Sunil Grover, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi and Aasif Sheikh in pivotal roles. Bharat is the third collaboration of director Ali Abbas Zafar with Salman Khan after Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. The movie is jointly produced by Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Atul Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Nikhil Namit and Salman Khan under the Reel Life Productions, Salman Khan Films and T-Series banners. the film released on June 5 on the occasion of Eid.
