The administration of Kerala has been put to shame about what happened with the abduction and later assault of Malayalam actress Bhavana in her own car by her former driver and his friends. In what appears to be completely planned operation, these miscreants found a way to get into her car in Athani, took the car to Palarivattom where they ditched the vehicle and make their escape in their own vehicle. The brave actress then took refuge at director-actor's Lal's house, who alerted the police. While any person in her place would have tried to hush up the issue considering their social image, Bhavana took a bold stance and made sure her complaint has been heard at the right places and the culprits will be caught as a result.
Sanju Sivram, who had acted with her in one of her recent releases in Malayalam, Hello Namasthe, spoke exclusively to BollywoodLife, "Through this incident, Bhavana has shown the world the strength of her character. Anyone else would have wilted under the pressure of what happened to her, but not Bhavana. Having worked with her, I know what kind of strong material she is made of, and I am sure she will come out of it with even more strength."
He revealed a few more details about the disgusting incident. "The whole thing was a setup. They had planned to accost her on the way, and they used a tempo trawler to block her vehicle, and make it look like an accident, so that they can get access to her car. Their intention was to blackmail her, but Bhavana's bravery in going to the police foiled their plans."
Though he hasn't got the chance to speak to her, he has been able to be in touch with her close friends and assured us that she is fine. In very strong words he condemned the whole incident, as he said "The drivers arranged to escort actors are always considered as a part of the film fraternity, so a dastardly incident like this has shook the very belief in the system. This event has brought that sense of mistrust in the relationship we share with these people. Moreover, incidents like these also bring a bad disrepute to Kerala as a state. I am sure the police would mete the right kind of justice to the perpetrators."
Like Sanju, even we believe that justice would be meted out in the right way, and we also applaud Bhavana for her brave stance in the face of adversity.
