Lokesh Kumari Sharma, who entered the Bigg Boss house this year representing the common folk has been eliminated from the high voltage reality show this week. We spoke to Lokesh post her eviction and she talked about her experience inside the glass walled house, her favourite contestants and a lot more. However, her answer to our question about the pay scale of commoners was certainly quite surprising.
If you will remember, we EXCLUSIVELY revealed to you that the commoners of Bigg Boss 10 are not getting paid anything to cause all that havoc inside the house. A source close to the show revealed, “The celebrities were given a signing amount, plus they are also being paid a fixed weekly remuneration. But the commoners are not being paid anything. Their pay scale will depend on the weeks they spend inside the house. But obviously, if a commoner manages to win the show, he/she will get the winning amount.”
So when we asked Lokesh about this, she said it's not that the commoners are not being paid for their stint on Bigg Boss 10, but they are definitely being paid less than the celebrity contestants. "The commoners are being paid way less than what the celebrities are getting. However, for a commoner to be on India's biggest reality show and make their reputation is a huge deal in itself. So it doesn't really matter if we are paid less," said the freshly evicted contestant during an EXCLUSIVE conversation with BollywoodLife. Talking about the remuneration of celebrities, we were the first ones to tell you that Bani J and Rahul Dev are the highest paid contestants this year. “Bani and Rahul are being paid the highest amount of money this year. They have been approached by the makers since last few seasons considering the two of them are known to have a personality which will boost the TRPs, but every time they refused the offer. So when the producers went knocking at their doors yet again with a huge sum of money this year, the offer was too tempting for both of them to let go,” a source close to the show revealed to us.
