Every year, we see a contestant from Khatron Ke Khiladi entering the Bigg Boss house. This time, it is tainted former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth. He was a participant in Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 but got eliminated pretty soon. However, he will be seen on Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 12 and we feel he might just be the most explosive contestant of the season. S Sreesanth burst into India's cricketing landscape as a prodigious talent when fast bowlers were rare in the country. He was known for his swing bowling prowess. Sreesanth proved his mettle in countries like England and South Africa where India's seam attack had failed to shine before. However, his on-field antics drew criticism from commentators and he was told to tone down. During the peak of his career, he was known for his partying lifestyle and apparently dated a string of Bollywood beauties including Riya Sen and Shahzahn Padamsee. His cricketing career came to an abrupt end after he was allegedly found embroiled in the IPL spot-fixing scandal. BCCI banned him but it was revoked later only to be again implemented.
Claim to fame
The former speedster made news when he took five wickets for 40 runs against South Africa in the 2006 series. It was a rare display by an Indian bowler and everyone showered praises on him. His emotional antics drew censure. In 2009, he made a comeback to the Indian team and fared excellently against Sri Lanka. He did well in the World T20 Championship of 2007 as well. The cricketer has a long association with Colors having done shows like Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. He is also known for dating a string of beauties from the glamour industry.
Controversy and S Sreesanth seem to go hand-in-hand. He first drew censure when he was criticized for his impromptu dance after hitting South African fast bowler Andre Nel for a six in 2006. In 2010, he had an argument with Graeme Smith as well. Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting complained against him after he sledged the team during the India tour of 2007. He had a famous altercation with Andrew Symonds too. And of course, the slapgate incident where Harbhajan Singh slapped him and he burst out crying like a baby on the field. Professionally, he is trying his luck in the entertainment industry and was last seen in Aksar 2. He is also into politics now.
S Sreesanth has toned down a lot now apparently if but he has a bit of his old explosive tendencies in him, the viewers will be in for solid drama. Trust us, he is the guy to watch out for!
