Contrary to the reports, Ms Basu hasn't been shown the exit door by the makers of Nia. The Bong beauty is still the leading lady of the film which will go on floors this winter...
Not too long ago, reports were doing the rounds about Bipasha Basu not being part of Vikram Phadnis' debut directorial venture Nia. Apparently, Vashu Bhagnani decided to produce the film as the makers of Nia were facing financial problems. However, it was being said that Bhagnani wanted Bipasha to be replaced as their equation had soured after the latter refused to promote Humshakals last year. But looks like all this information was just gossip because Karan Singh Grover's alleged ladylove is very much doing Vikram's directorial debut Nia. While the makers are yet to announce the release date, Bipasha starrer will definitely go on floors by end of this year.
Talking about the project, the Alone says, "I said yes to the project because I believed in Vikram and his concept. As soon as he is ready to start, I will give my dates. Vikram is an old friend and I will always be supportive towards his first venture."
While the B-town beauty will be seen playing the female protagonist in Nia, we wonder who will play her onscreen hero. Initially, Rana Daggubati was roped in to star opposite Bips but the actor opted out of the project citing date issues.
