In what is turning out to be an exciting piece of news, Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam actor Vijay Deverakonda may soon make his debut in Bollywood. Although Hindi may be a new turf for him, Vijay Deverakonda is already a popular actor even in Bollywood because of Arjun Reddy which is now being remade in Hindi. Veteran producer Aswini Dutt, during the promotions of his upcoming film Devadas starring Nani and Nagarjuna, said that they have signed a two-film deal with Vijay Deverakonda. Dutt even revealed the details about the film.
Stree director duo, Raj-DK, will be at the helm for one of the films with Vijay Deverakonda. The film will be a trilingual in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi and will officially mark Vijay Deverakonda’s debut in Bollywood. Raj and DK have already pitched the story and it has been approved by the production house already. According to sources close to the production house, the film will go on floors in early 2019 and will be released towards the end.
Vijay Deverakonda is also gearing up for his Tamil debut with NOTA, a political thriller, directed by Anand Shankar. The trailer of the film was released recently and Vijay Deverakonda will be seen playing a young Chief Minister. He also has a Telugu film Dear Comrade which is being directed by newcomer Bharat Kamma. In the meanwhile, Geetha Govindam continues its terrific run at the overseas box office and has been clocking terrific numbers.
