There seems to be no end to the sad reports to hit Bollywood news circles, however, this time, there seems to be immense confusion over the news, leading to uncertainty laced with the possible heartbreak. Reports streamed in earlier of Director Nishikant Kamat's death, who has helmed popular Bollywood movies like Ajay Devgn-Tabu starrer Drishyam, Irrfan Khan starrer Madaari and the John Abraham starrers, Force and Rocky Handsome among others along with critically acclaimed Marathi films like his debut directorial, Dombivali Fast, and the Riteish Deshmukh starrer, Lai Bhaari. However, there's a lot of confusion over this as Riteish himself as well as filmmaker Milap Zaveri have tweeted that Nishikant is on ventilator, but fighting for his life.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Riteish Deshmukh wrote: "Nishikant kamat is on ventilator support. He is still alive & fighting. Let’s pray for him," while Milap Zaveri, after initially tweeting: "Heartbreaking news that Nishikant Kamat passed away. He judged My 1st play ever in Jaihind College where he awarded me best actor and writer. He was gonna direct “Sanak” written by @shiekhspear and me, starring @juniorbachchan Sadly the film didn’t happen. Will miss him," quickly rectified it by writing: "Just spoke to someone who is with Nishikant in the hospital right now. He hasn’t passed away yet. Yes he is v critical and fighting life and death. But he is still alive." Check out their tweets below:
