The Bihar government and police are almost rejoicing after the Supreme Court ruled that the FIR registered in Patna by Sushant Singh Rajput's family was correct. As you might be aware, the Supreme Court ordered the CBI to probe the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Bihar's Director General of Police Gupteshwar Pandey told reporters today after Supreme Court’s orders, "Rhea Chakraborty does not have the aukat to comment on the Bihar Chief Minister. What the police did was correct, and according to legal and constitutional provisions.”
He added, "Because of the support that the Bihar Chief Minister gave us, there is hope today for justice for Sushant Singh Rajput. The fight has come to this point because of the Chief Minister's support."
Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Shweta Singh Kirti, who had been putting in all her efforts for CBI investigation, tweeted: "Thank you God! You have answered our prayers!! But it is just the beginning... the first step towards the truth! Full faith on CBI!!"
After Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14, Mumbai Police started investigating the case. Not satisfied with the progress of the case, Sushant Singh Rajput's father filed a complaint in Bihar, his home state, accusing his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty of mentally harassing him, driving him to suicide and taking money from his accounts. Today, the Supreme Court asked the Mumbai police to hand over all evidence collected so far to the CBI.
Recently Sushant’s doctor had said that he cannot believe that the actor could have taken his own life. "The way he used to think and dream, which he has noted in his diary, you know it is very hard to believe that he took his own life. Something must have brought him to this crunch or circumstances have been made like that or something else happened in his life. So you know it is behind comprehension to think that he has taken his life," he told a news channel.
