If reports are to be believed, Bollywood film producer and event organiser Karim Morani has tested positive for the novel coronavirus the second time. It can be recalled that he first tested positive for the virus on April 8. He has survived two heart attacks and has also had a bypass surgery in the past. More details on his health are awaited.
Morani is admitted and being treated at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital. On the brighter side, his daughters Shaza and Zoa were sent home recently after their second coronavirus test reports turned out to be negative. Both celebrity daughters are under home-quarantine as a precautionary measure. Zoa posted a selfie to update her fans on the same. In the background, we can see staffers wearing hazmat suits. She put a caption, "Time to say goodbye to my warriors from space and keep them in my prayers forever! Goodbye isolation ICU. Time for #homesweethome!"
The news of him testing positive and being hospitalised was confirmed by his brother, Mohammad Morani. He told Mirror Online, "Yes, we have been anticipating this as he was with his daughters. Karim has tested positive for coronavirus. He has been shifted to Nanavati Hospital."
According to reports, Shaza had travelled to Sri Lanka and was back in Mumbai in the first week of March. On the other hand, Zoa Morani was in Rajasthan till March 15. After her return, Zoa Morani developed a cold and decided to get tested. Both the girls went for the tests. Initially, it was Shaza who tested positive despite being asymptomatic. Later, even Zoa tested positive.
Meanwhile, the number of cases in India are increasing every passing day. They are at 10,363 today. 339 people have died because of COVID-19 in the country while 1036 people have recovered. PM Narendra Modi extended the nationwide lockdown till May 3. He revealed this in an address to the nation this morning.
