Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last on Sunday, 14 June 2020. The actor was just 34-year-old and hanged himself. Reports state that he was suffering from clinical depression and had been taking medications for the same. Some reports say that there was some professional rivalry that caused the actor to take his life. Sushant demise had raised a lot of questions and triggered debates on social media on nepotism and camp-ism. Well, there's no denying that favouritism and camp-ism have been prevalent in the entertainment industry for a long time. People are slamming Karan Johar, Salman Khan and others for ruining careers of many artists. Apparently, his depression was what led Sushant Singh Rajput to take his own life.
Police had found the evidence in terms of medicines that the Chhichhore actor had been taking to battle his clinical depression. Police further revealed that the Kai Po Che actor's father was not aware of his son's depression. Mumbai Police registered the statement of Sushant's father and his two sisters before they returned to Delhi. Police revealed that they suspected no foul play in his suicide. Further, the statement said that his father known about the actor's loneliness, however, he wasn't aware of his depression and that he had been taking treatment for the same.
Further, the police would be speaking to Sushant's manager, Siddharth Pathani to understand the 'professional rivalry' angle. They would also be considering factors such as financial stability, upcoming projects and his overall work to understand the cause of his death.
Sushant Singh Rajput was just 34 when he committed suicide at his Bandra residence. He was cremated on Monday at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai. Several Bollywood and television celebrities dropped by to attend the funeral of the late actor. Sushant's close family members were present to pay their last respects.
