It was a highly depressing time in April when the news of Irrfan Khan's demise surfaced. It was a huge shock for everyone. The actor had been suffering from neuroendocrine cancer for the last two years and finally succumbed to it in April. Now, a month and half later, his on-screen daughter, Radhika Madan took to her Instagram handle to share a heartwarming picture with the late actor.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Radhika Madan shared a still from the sets of Angrezi Medium. In the picture, we can see, Irrfan Khan hugging Tarika (Radhika) while kissing her forehead. After learning about his demise, Radhika and wrote, "I don't know what to say... my heart aches when I write this. He was one of the strongest people I knew, a fighter. And so are Sutapa ma'am, Babil and Ayan. I'm just grateful that our paths crossed in this lifetime. He is and will always be an inspiration to many. A legend. The man who changed the wave of the Indian film industry. May his soul rest in peace."
The Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi actress opened up on her first meeting with the actor saying, "His performances in Maqbool and Paan Singh Tomar are my favourites. We met a couple of times for readings before shooting began. The first thing I said to him was, ‘Hello pappa’. He is extremely sweet, warm and endearing."
Talking about Angrezi Medium, the actress had earlier revealed that the makers had designed the schedule of the film to suit Irrfan's medical treatment. "He and Homi had been co-ordinating before work on the film started. On the set, Irrfan sir gave his 200 per cent. There was an amazing energy around because of him," the Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota actress told an online entertainment portal.
