Shah Rukh Khan in overdrive after a 3-year sabbatical; meets Atlee for the final narration of his next after Pathan?

Of the speculated films that Shah Rukh Khan was supposed to begin post his self-imposed sabbatical, one was with Rajkumar Hirani and the other, with Tamil filmmaker Atlee. Well of all his rumoured projects, it looks like the Atlee one will take shape.

Post the lukewarm response to Zero back in 2018, Shah Rukh Khan went on a prolonged, self-imposed sabbatical, during which time several speculations cropped up about his forthcoming films, some true, some not so much. While Pathan, the first movie he embarked on post his lengthy break was one that hardly cropped up among all the rumours, two other films that did seem hellbent on coming true as news around them refuses to die down. One of those films is a much-talked about project with Director Rajkumar Hirani, and the other it an equally talked about one with blockbuster Tamil filmmaker, Atlee – probably the best masala film Director in the country at the moment other than Rohit Shetty. We all know that film shoots in most parts of the country have been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, and with Pathan, costarring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham mostly being shot in the city, the team is currently on a break till lockdown rules ease up and the situation returns to some semblance of normalcy. Meanwhile, Bollywood Hungama has reported that before the second lockdown came into effect, Atlee had flown down from Chennai to Mumbai to give SRK a final narration of his script, and though there are no further details at the moment about the indication of the meeting, the source who has spilled the beans reveals the meeting itself is a strong indication that their film is very much on.
