Salman Khan and Aamir Khan are two of the biggest superstars we have today. They have delivered several hits in their careers and are still going strong. There was one film however, which broke all records when it released in 2008. We are talking about Ghajini. Interestingly, the film was first offered to Salman Khan.
In fact, after reading the script, it was Aamir who suggested Salman to do the film, but he declined for reasons best known to him. We are sure Salman must be ‘kick’ing himself for rejecting the film.
However, there is no denying the fact that Aamir was fabulous in the film. Even after 13 years, it remains to be one of his finest performances. After the film’s release, Salman was so impressed by Aamir's performance that he decided to gift him two special paintings, which he himself painted. “Ghajini became a phenomenon because of Aamir Khan, his newly acquired 8 pack and the main focus at the end of the day was the love story,” Salman had said.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, it was the first Bollywood film to start the 100-crore club.
Many are eagerly waiting for Aamir’s next film, Laal Singh Chaddha. Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film is directed by Advait Chandan. In a video posted on Aamir Khan Fandom’s YouTube channel recently, the actor said that they are planning to release the film on Christmas this year. He said, “So we’ll see where it lands but so far things are going well and for now, things seem to be in control. Hopefully, by the end of the year, we should see the film.”
On the film’s delay, he said, “While the rest of the world was dealing with Corona, we were dealing with Corona and Kareena (Kapoor) who was the heroine of the film, she got pregnant, so we are like one more gust of wind has pushed us in another direction.”
