A terrible bomb blast late Monday evening killed 27 people and injured many more, as per the local media. The blast occurred around 7.25 pm IST, and happened outside the popular Erawan Shrine in Central Bangkok.
It has also been reported that several foreigners were among the dead victims, though there were no Indians in them
The source of the bomb is not yet located, as there are reports that it was tied on to en electric pole, while another report states it was thrown from a motorcycle. Anther bomb has been found and detonated by the police. No terrorist organisation had claimed responsibility for the incident.
Riteish Deshmukh, who was near the vicinity of the attack, had tweeted a video where ambulances are shown rushing down the road to reach the blast site.
